The Garga Dress is a hand block printed cotton maxi for women who dress to their own rhythm. Named for the sage Garga, a figure from ancient Indian learning, it carries a centre panel of geometric block print, diamonds, triangles and chevrons, stamped by hand in earthy brown across a soft beige cotton ground.

It is cut in a relaxed A-line that skims rather than clings, with a gentle V-neck and loose elbow-length sleeves, so it moves with you from a riverside morning into a long evening. Because the print is done by hand, every metre carries its own small deviations. That is the signature of a real hand, not a flaw.

How it fits

One free size, made to open across the body: bust 71.1 to 91.4 cm, waist 86.4 cm, hip 111.8 cm, and a 139.7 cm length that falls long and fluid. Please check the size chart above before you order.

The craft

Each motif is carved by hand into teak blocks, dipped in dye and pressed metre after metre by artisans in Rajasthan. It is one of India's oldest textile traditions, still done the slow way.
